de boer (Antwerp) is pleased to present Crystal Daze, Patrick Vanden Eynde's first solo exhibition with the gallery. The exhibition brings together a new series of paintings that begin with an ordinary encounter, light striking the facets of a crystal chandelier, and unfold into compositions that hover between representation and abstraction. In Crystal Daze, the paintings hint at moments of altered consciousness, drawing a subtle parallel between the search for transcendence in everyday life and the human desire to momentarily escape the limits of physical reality. The exhibition coincides with the release of Vanden Eynde's monograph.
